Editorial Policy
The Prediabetes Diet publishes educational nutrition content for general audiences. Pages are written to be practical, readable, and consistent with established public-health guidance.
Primary Sources
Whenever possible, the site relies on primary or institution-level sources such as:
- CDC guidance on prediabetes and diabetes prevention
- NIH and NIDDK materials, including Diabetes Prevention Program summaries
- American Diabetes Association explanations of A1C, nutrition, and screening concepts
- Major peer-reviewed trials and consensus guidelines when a page discusses specific numbers or effects
Writing Standards
- Use plain language over clinical jargon
- Prefer practical behavior guidance over abstract theory
- Avoid making individualized treatment recommendations
- State limitations when evidence depends on medical history, medications, or lab interpretation
Updates
Pages are revised when guidance, wording, or site structure needs improvement. The goal of updates is to keep the content clear, accurate, and internally consistent across related pages.
Corrections
If a factual inconsistency is identified, it should be corrected directly in the affected page and in any derivative asset such as the downloadable PDF when applicable.
Not a medical review service
This site is educational publishing, not a clinical practice. Nothing here should be interpreted as diagnosis, treatment, or personal nutrition counseling.
